On June 26th, on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the party, the party branch of Zhengfangyuan Group organized party members to enter the Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall to carry out a party history study and education theme party entitled "Remembering the Revolutionary Martyrs, Revisiting the History of the Red Party, and Recalling the Immortal Merit" day activities. The activity was led by Wang Mingsheng, Secretary of the Party Branch of Zhengfangyuan Group, and Wang Jinrong, Chairman of the Labor Union. Yu Ronghai, the founder and first Secretary of the Party Branch of Zhengfangyuan Group, and Zhang Huazi, an old party member, participated in the activity.
Party members and comrades walked into the Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall wearing the party emblem and with great reverence. In the summer of 1938, Chen Yi, Su Yu and other comrades led the New Fourth Army to the east to resist Japan, mobilized the masses in this area, and established the Maoshan Anti-Japanese Base. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Maoshan Anti-Japanese Base Area became the advance base and strategic channel for the New Fourth Army to advance eastward, northward, and southward.
Following the tour guide in the museum, party members and comrades visited the five exhibition halls including "Fighting the Japanese Invaders and Eight Provinces Gathering Tieliu", and learned about the glorious history of the New Fourth Army in various periods in the anti-Japanese base areas in southern Jiangsu. Photos, precious documents, and vicissitudes of life brought everyone back to the days of gunpowder and smoke. Everyone seemed to see iron-clad soldiers of the New Fourth Army, under difficult conditions, with "iron-like belief, iron-like belief, iron-like discipline, and iron-like responsibility", fighting tenaciously on the land of southern Jiangsu until the moment of victory in the War of Resistance.
In a solemn and solemn atmosphere, party members faced the bright red party flag, once again clenched their right fists, and revisited the oath of joining the party.
After visiting the Maoshan New Fourth Army Memorial Hall, the party members also paid homage to the 36-meter-high "Sunan Anti-Japanese War Victory Monument", felt the spectacle of "firing firecrackers in front of the monument, and listening to the bugle under the monument", and held the "Forever Follow the Monument" in their hands. The "Party Going" commemorative medal left a precious group photo.
Through this theme education activity, party members and comrades have a deep understanding of the fighting history of the New Fourth Army in southern Jiangsu, and deeply felt the firm ideals and beliefs of the revolutionary martyrs and the revolutionary spirit of hard work.
